This past weekend I attended the Digital Media and Learning conference in LA. There were some interesting updates regarding MacArthur’s Digital Media and Learning funding program – namely that they will be shifting their grant-making efforts elsewhere and the former director of that program, Connie Yowell, will be moving on from MacArthur to continue her media and learning work in conjunction with other organizations, including GlassLab – specifically with regards to scale-up and broader impacts of DML programming. New/upcoming MacArthur Ed RFPs will seek to support key communities, support teachers, and support school practitioners to participate in “hive” learning.
